Our People
The Bureau members are elected and do the day to day running of the organization. They are supported by the Office, who are employed by IFLRY, and by a team of Programme Managers that are appointed on a voluntary basis by the Bureau.

Hania Knio
President
A psychologist, activist, and trainer from Beirut, Lebanon. Hania has organized and led seminars on female and queer rights within IFLRY and beyond, and is a member of the Youth Parliament and MED Youth Council.

Tirza Drent
Secretary-General
From the Netherlands, representing Jonge Democraten (D66). Tirza holds a Master's in International Relations from the University of Cape Town, founded the Women's Network at Jonge Democraten, and works as a public affairs adviser.

Kai Pischke
Treasurer
From the United Kingdom, representing Young Liberals. Kai is a DPhil student in Computer Science at the University of Oxford and former president of Oxford University Liberal Democrats.

Julie Ruby
VP IFLRY Community
From Denmark, representing Radikal Ungdom (the youth wing of the Danish Social Liberal Party). Julie is pursuing a Master's in Political Science and Government at the University of Southern Denmark and previously served on the national board of her organisation.

Lina Braun
VP Online Media
From Germany, representing Junge Liberale (JuLis, FDP). Lina serves as Team Leader for the JuLis South America team and has a focus on Latin American affairs.

Amparito Sanders
VP Education and Knowledge
From the Netherlands, representing JOVD (VVD). Amparito has a Dutch-Mexican multicultural background, has held numerous positions within JOVD, and serves as bureau buddy for IFLRY's Latin America programme.

Marie Anézi Djie
VP Council Affairs, Policy & Advocacy
From Côte d'Ivoire, the first Ivorian woman elected to the IFLRY Bureau. Marie Anézi holds a Master's in Women's and Gender Studies from Loyola University Chicago (Fulbright scholar) and previously served as Secretary General of Africa Liberal Youth for Freedom (ALYF).
