IFLRY Membership Information
IFLRY is structured into three tiers of membership:
- Full members: have total access to all membership privileges including full voting rights and subsidised participation in events. To be a full member you must be admitted by a two-thirds majority of those present and voting at the General Assembly and have been an Associate Member for at least one year.
- Associate members: have partial rights within IFLRY, such as the right to vote, nominate officers, the right to put forward proposals and the right to submit amendments to all proposals except when it concerns the manifesto, statutes, the Rules of Procedure, or financial documents. Associate membership can be permanent or temporary, and is granted by simple majority vote of the General Assembly. Associate members pay only 50% of the respective budget amount of the Membership fee.
- Observing members: have limited access to membership privileges and will be decided on a case-by-case by the Bureau. To be an observe member you must be admitted by a simple majority at either the General Assembly or Executive Committee. It is designed for those that wish to cooperate with IFLRY but cannot fulfill the criteria for membership.
- Individual members: wishing to affiliate with IFLRY directly outside the auspices of an organization can apply for membership of IFLRY’s Individual Members Group. The Individual Members Group is comprised of individual members of IFLRY, and collectively has political rights within IFLRY equivalent to those of Associate Members.
