What is the workshop about?

The International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) is thrilled to invite young leaders, thinkers, and changemakers to join us for our upcoming workshop, “Mental Well-being in Action: You(th) to the Rescue.” This second event, as part of our work plan 2025, in partnership with the Council of Europe – European Youth Foundation, will take place from July 17th to 20th, 2025, in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland.

In today’s fast-paced political landscape, mental well-being has emerged as a critical focus area. Politicians and young activists, often at the forefront of public service, are exposed to unique pressures that significantly impact their personal lives and consequently the broader community. This workshop is designed to explore the intersection of mental well-being and leadership, empowering participants with the tools, strategies, and understanding to tackle challenges while fostering growth and balance in their professional and personal lives.

What are the objectives?

  • Foster understanding of the impact of political pressures on mental well-being.
  • Equip participants with actionable tools for resilience and growth as young leaders.
  • Facilitate open discussions on mental health challenges and opportunities in politics.
  • Collaborate on recommendations and best practices for leadership in the 21st century.
  • Develop strategies to build sustainable support networks for young politicians.
  • Most importantly, make participants take a pause, breathe, and remember that all leaders are human beings first.
